This privacy policy explains how this website, LauraIgnatowicz.com (“we”, “us”, “our”), collects and uses your personal information, and the rights you have over it. For the purposes of data protection law, we are the data controller. If you have any questions or wish to exercise your rights, contact us at hello.art.laura@gmail.com.
The personal information we collect
- Order and contact information: name, billing and delivery address, email address, and (where provided) phone number and order history.
- Newsletter information: name and email address, where you have subscribed.
- Messages: any information you include when you contact us.
- Technical and usage information: collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and how you interact with the site (see “Cookies” below).
We do not knowingly collect special category data, and payment card details are handled by our payment provider — we do not receive or store full card numbers.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To process and deliver your orders and provide customer support — performance of a contract.
- To send marketing emails where you have opted in — consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
- To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations — legal obligation.
- To operate, secure, analyse, and improve the website and to promote our work — legitimate interests, and consent for any non-essential cookies and analytics or advertising.
Providing order and contact information is necessary to enter into and fulfil a purchase; without it we cannot process your order.
Categories of recipients
We share personal information only as necessary, with the following categories of service providers who process it on our behalf:
- payment processing providers;
- order printing and fulfilment providers;
- email and newsletter providers;
- website hosting and infrastructure providers;
- analytics and advertising providers.
We do not sell your personal information.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards (such as UK adequacy regulations or Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place to protect your information.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies are needed for the site and checkout to work. Non-essential cookies — for analytics and advertising — are used only with your consent, which you can give, manage, or withdraw at any time through the cookie controls on the site or your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as required for legal and accounting purposes (generally six years), newsletter data until you unsubscribe, and contact messages for up to 12 months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your personal data; to have it corrected or erased; to restrict or object to its processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello.art.laura@gmail.com; we will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
